Not every fabric needs a name. This one earned one.
The shadow stripe is a mesh-based jersey construction, built with a tonal stripe woven directly into the fabric rather than printed onto it — visible up close, nearly silent from a distance. That distinction matters more than it sounds. A printed stripe sits on top of a garment. A woven one is part of its structure. It doesn't fade first. It doesn't crack. It ages the way the rest of the piece does — together, not separately.
It is also, deliberately, not a heavy fabric. Jerseys built for sport are engineered to move; we borrowed that logic rather than the sport itself. The Player Jersey's oversized, relaxed cut depends on a fabric that drapes instead of stiffens — worn on the court or worn to dinner, as the piece itself puts it, without needing to be two different garments to do it.
Small decision, repeated with total consistency: build the detail into the material, not onto it.
